Thinking Map of Higher Order Thinking

#1. OBJECTIVE REALITY –> CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM –> HUMAN REASONING –> SCRIPTURE

#2. Everybody is moored in the OBJECTIVE WORLD OF THINGS.

#3. The CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM is the faculty that detects the presence of OBJECTIVE THINGS & converts them into REPRESENTATIONS (images, smells, sounds, textures, tastes) in the brain.

#4. Then, those representations are interpreted, we might say, by the faculty of HUMAN REASONING. In most cases, one ventures to say, that is as far as it goes!

#5. And that has been successful in the social, political & engineering worlds of men. Tall buildings are built, railroads are put in place, scientific enterprise has flourished & other areas are explored. However, there are other regions of knowledge that were arbitrarily ruled out of interest & favor.

#6. REVELATION was granted to humanity under the auspices of the HOLY SPIRIT. The faculty of REVELATION affords us a possible look behind the OBJECTIVE WORLD OF THINGS & into the mind of the Creator.

#7. From the Enlightenment forward in time & with increasing efficiency REVELATION has been deprived of its intended purpose to extend the reach of HIGHER ORDER MAPPING.

#8. In consequence of this strategic attempt to quell any confidence in non-human derived knowledge, an entire rubric of truth has simply been annulled of its importance!

#9. There are generalizations to be made from the phenomenon of HIGHER ORDER MAPPING: (1) It is routine to believe that the closer & more direct our experience is with objective things, then the better one comprehends the object in question.

#10. But once this paradigm is expanded to include Scripture, we learn that the opposite is true! THE MORE ABSTRACT & THEREFORE FARTHER AWAY FROM THE OBJECTS WE ARE THE MORE WE UNDERSTAND IT.

#11. Just Such a circumstance appears in Numbers 13 & 14. The Israelites rejected immediately HIGHER ORDER MAPPING.  And so, they collectively turned away from battle on that logical ground!

#12. The same logical fallacies are yet in circulation in the contemporary, one believes.
