The Road Map of Your Life

By Glennys Elliott

Lesson 7

Below is a line that represents your life up until now.  Use the arrows or add additional arrows to indicate the events of your life.  Examples of events/memories of events: issues tied to your childhood, relocation, deaths, holidays etc.

Continue through your life leading up to today.

Then, list some scriptures that were comforting, convicting, inspiring at the time.

Have you later learned some scriptures that would have been useful in those circumstances? List some.

When you took a detour off the path set by God, did you make a U-turn? How far did you to before you decided to make a U-turn?  Did it put you back on the path where you left it?

Can you identify a time when you took a detour of rebellion?

When did you trust the promises of God and stay on the path even though you were fearful, worried, anxious, hopeless, angry, lonely, etc.?

What advice would you give to your younger self when you were deciding to go off God’s path?

Think about scripture and add verses to your lifeline that have been helpful to you personally.  You can also use scriptures that are on the previous handout.
